Hotel Kremlin Palace: small portion of Russia in Antalya

Tourists who will organize holidays in hotel Topkapi Palace (Antalya) will have additional advantages: free entrance to the hotel Kremlin Palace. These 2 hotels are children of the same company. Therefore, visitors can use food, beach, pools, and attractions any of them for free. In September 2015 we stayed in Topkapi Palace, and 2 times visited his Russian neighbor.

First time animators from our hotel invited us for “big daily party, which is organized just 1 time in 2 weeks, and which possible to see just in Kremlin Palace”. It was some concert with singers, dancers, robots (!) I regretted that I didn’t take my camera. At list I could take pictures of dancers: they wore colorful swimsuits, high heels and almost didn’t move (because of slippery floor). More agile was singer, but she just hold a microphone near her mouth, and sometimes moved with her lips. Especially Arabic and Turkish men were excited by their attitude. They even started to jump in the swimming pool, and swam to the dance floor, to see legibly exotic girls.

Second time we visited Kremlin Palace, when was football game between Fenerbahce and Besiktas (Turkish football teams). We had a chance to watch it on big screen, which was near the main pool.

Till my son attentively watched a match I decided to walk to beach.

On the way I saw many gift shops with Russian signboards, where played Russian music.

My attention was drawn Pushkin Café. It worked from 2 till 6.30 p.m. It was famous with sweet things and tea.

Beach was empty. I stopped near the kiosk with advertising. Here tourists could order boat trip, parasailing, diving. I don’t remember exactly prices, but it was high. After my short walk I backed to my fans of Besiktas team and we together enjoyed the match.

In general most of the events were organized in the Kremlin Palace. Most of the time, vacationers from Topkapi Palace were informed about every of them.

About architecture

Architects of this place really knew their mission. In the relatively small area they could recreate Resurrection Gate, Red Square, St Basil’s Church and many other historical attractions the capital of Russia. However, there also possible to meet some elements of Turkish traditions:

·   Restaurant Car Cadiri, where were served some traditional Turkish food: gozleme, manti. This place is near the beach, and open from midday to 5 p.m. Vacationers can’t entry there in swimsuits;

·       Pasha Restaurant. Starts to work from 7.30 p.m. and offers just traditional Turkish dishes.

About design

I didn’t see rooms of Kremlin Palace, but from Lobby’s design and photos from the site I can approve this hotel more luxurious than Topkapi Palace. Of course, they were made in different style, but furniture in Kremlin Palace more new and brighter.

About food

In the same building with Lobby, on the second floor is dining room. I tried to find usual stairs, but I couldn’t – people went there with escalator.

Fans of Russian kitchen would be happy to visit that dining room. Almost all main dishes, salads, desserts were cooked in Russian style. But that place also had some deficiencies:

ü    There wasn’t diet menu. Maybe there was possible to find some dietetic products, but dining room is not small, and there all time many people. I wouldn’t like to spend my time for searching of needed dishes.

ü    There was small selection of soups. Soup is very important dish in Russian menu. It shouldn’t be oily or too thick, and would be perfect if cooker could make Cabbage soup (without lamb!)

Tourists, who stay in Kremlin Palace and want to enliven their ration, can visit restaurants A’La Carte. Hotel has 5 restaurants, which work just in the evening and need reservation:

·    El Somrero. Restaurant of Mexican food. Located in the St Basil’s Church, and can make “hot” any evening;

·      Pasha Restaurant. I already mentioned about this place.

·     Marina Restaurant. Till the day small visitors come here to try hamburger with potato fried. And in the evening their parents enjoy with a sea products.

·      Sushi Restaurant. Located in the same building with a Lobby. I didn’t like main dish of this restaurant. Fish for the sushi was not fresh, a little bit dry. Soy sauce was too bitter, and gave that sushi terrible taste.

·     La Condola Restaurant. This is Italian Restaurant with big open area. Every evening after 9 p.m. was started alive music. I don’t know why but visitors there were not too much (like in Topkapi Palace).

We didn’t visit disco, but we decided to try Martini in the Diva Bar, which works 24 hours in a day. Cocktails were tasty, that’s why it was not last.

After we came back to our darling Topkapi Palace.

I don’t want to tell that 1 hotel of these 2 better than another one. Architecture, luxuries give a charm of Kremlin Palace.

Many tourists visit this place because of curiosity. But we couldn’t get fun there, like we did in Topkapi Palace. Maybe it’s because of season (end of September), maybe because of animators, but maybe people come here to rest in silence. In any case this hotel is unique about its architecture and worthy of note from tourists.

Вкусное путешествие в историю: отель Topkapi Palace (Анталия)

Наиболее выдающаяся достопримечательность Стамбула - Topkapi Palace. Я уверена, каждый турист, пересекающий черту этого города впервые, начинает свою экскурсионную программу именно с этого места. Представьте мое удивление, когда я узнала о существовании отеля с идентичным дизайном, но только уже в Анталии!

Планируя свои путешествия, я очень скрупулезно отношусь к выбору отеля. В этот раз я была особо требовательна: со мной должен был лететь мой сын, и это был его первый выезд за границу. После изучения десятков различных фешенебельных отелей в Анталии, я решила остановить свой выбор на Topkapi Palace, что расположен неподалеку от региона Lara. 

Так как осень начала активно вступать в свои права, в конце сентября мы оперативно упаковали чемоданы, сели на самолет и прибыли в желанный отель. Тем не менее, первое впечатление было не самым лучшим

·        Нам не удалось зарезервировать семейный номер: отдыхающих с детьми было очень много. Нам достался обычный номер с двумя кроватями (2- и 1-спальная). На односпальной кровати можно было делать все что угодно, но только не спать - уж слишком не комфортным был матрас. Данный нюанс немного меня разозлил: даже если в отеле нету семейных номеров, это не означает, что мой сын должен корячиться несколько ночей на неудобном старом матрасе!

·    Шкаф. Лучше бы я его не открывала: из-за доносящихся оттуда запахов я была готова потерять сознание.

·   Ванная комната. Огромное зеркало над умывальником было грязным. Вместо кондиционера для волос в уголку стояло почти две баночки с шампунем (1 баночка была наполовину использована). Хотя этот нюанс меня не особо волновал: шампунь не отличался хорошим качеством. Не думаю, что кондиционер для волос обладал магическими свойствами.

После 5-минутного изучения номера я сразу же позвонила на ресепшн и высказала свои претензии. Уже через 30 минут односпальная кровать была укомплектована новеньким ортопедическим матрасом, из шкафа доносился чудесный цветочный аромат, а на миниатюрном журнальном столике меня ожидала коробка шоколадных конфет с искренними извинениями от администрации отеля. Естественно, после дегустации столь вкусных "извинений" я простила отелю все недостатки...)

О номерах.

Все номера Topkapi Palace декорированы в традиционном турецком стиле, и назвать их роскошными я не могу. В каждом номере есть ванна, балкон, телевизор, кондиционер, маленький холодильник (запасы которого ежедневно пополнялись "свежей" минеральной водой, соком, пивом). Не рекомендую заказывать интернет в номере: дорого (7 евро/сутки) и очень медленно. Тем, кому уж совсем невтерпеж лучше пройти в Лобби: та же скорость, но бесплатно.

Однако для туристов, которые решили остановиться в Topkapi Palace, дизайн номеров не столь важен. Это место - не просто отель, и его ценность не в декорировании комнат. Это огромный комплекс, где отдыхающие могут весело провести время. Опций для занятного времяпровождения несколько:

1. Плаванье. Отель предлагает несколько вариаций для данного вида спорта:

· Главный бассейн. Излюбленное место детишек, для которых архитекторы спроектировали небольшой водный парк с горками.

Активное движение наблюдалось здесь уже в 9 утра, когда мы только решали, что одеть к завтраку. В 10.00 основная масса отдыхающих барахталась в воде под зажигательные ритмы латинской музыки: это было время аквааэробики. Опытные тренера выплясывали на сцене возле бассейна, завлекая за собой немалую толпу. Ближе к обеду проводились соревнования, конкурсы.

Возле бассейна расположено 2 бара: Punсh Bar и главный бар отеля. В главном баре ассортимент алкогольных и безалкогольных коктейлей был впечатляющим: возле барной стойки регулярно образовывались очереди. Разнообразить пассивный пляжный отдых можно было посещением мини-аквапарка, что в нескольких метрах от главного бассейна.

·  Маленький бассейн для релаксации (под открытым небом). Не многолюдный, рассчитан на тех, кто хочет принять солнечные ванны в тишине.

·       Закрытый бассейн. Пользовался популярностью лишь во время дождя. В остальные дни пустовал.

·      Море. Настоятельно рекомендую посетить Анталию в сентябре: вода в Средиземном море очень теплая! Одно из главных достоинств Topkapi Palace - личный пляж. Во время нашего визита загорающих было мало, а основная их часть - русские туристы.

2. Еда. Для меня еда данного отеля - настоящая достопримечательность. Ежедневно в столовой подавали новые блюда. Меню завтрака, обеда, ужина кардинально отличалось. На 4-й день пребывания в отеле я начала пить ферменты для желудка, чтобы помочь бедняге переварить регулярно поступающие объемы вкусняшек. Можно бы было взять перерыв, и выбрать что-нибудь из диетической пищи, но я ничего не могла с собой поделать. Алкогольные напитки в столовой (пиво, вино) можно было заказать после полудня.

В обеденное время начинало свою работу snack-cafe, что в нескольких метрах от моря. Главными атрибутами меню были чизбургер, гамбургер, картошка-фри, некоторые напитки (в т.ч. и алкогольные). Напротив закусочной располагался Hunkar Restaurant, где можно было отведать некоторые блюда/напитки традиционной турецкой кухни (манты, гезлеме, айран).

Тут все строго: заходить в купальниках запрещено (хотя и расположен этот ресторанчик возле моря), алкогольные напитки пить запрещено. Зато блинчики с сыром (гезлеме) здесь готовят бесподобно

Помимо этого, во время Байрама (большого мусульманского праздника) на летней площадке подавали особую пищу с Raki (турецкая водка).

В Topkapi Palace Байрам праздновали 3 дня. Помимо традиционных блюд был организован концерт

3. Ночная жизнь. По этому поводу у нас была индивидуальная программа.

Первое: ресторан. Для посещения подобного места покидать пределы отеля не советую. Topkapi Palace может похвалится 5 колоритными ресторанами A'La Carte, которые работают с 19.30 до 21.00:

·      Marina Restaurant. Упомянутое выше snack-cafe в вечернее время преобразовывается в рыбный ресторанчик. Экзотических блюд (устрицы, лягушачьи лапки) в меню я не нашла, но в целом мне здесь понравилось. Мой сын негативно относится к морепродуктам: свое время в Marina Restaurant он посвятил исследованию местности. Он отыскал небольшое, аккуратное футбольное поле, на которое мы возвращались несколько раз, чтобы сыграть в его любимую игру.

·      Mangal Park Restaurant. Моего парня данное заведение очень впечатлило: он имел возможность самостоятельно приготовить барбекю. Но сначала официант принес нам все необходимые продукты (мясо, курицу, овощи, белое вино). Посетители, которых подобная перспектива не привлекала, могли заказать уже готовое барбекю.

·    Kosem Sultan Restaurant. Либо, другими словами, ресторан традиционной турецкой кухни. Здесь я заказывала рыбу, салат из баклажанов, и в конце каждой трапезы была готова облизывать пальцы, - очень вкусно.

·        La Nazir Restaurant. Заведение для гурманов и эстетов. Здесь все необычное: посуда, декорации, атмосфера, еда... Сначала мы заказали салат из креветок и суши. Суши было худшим в моей жизни, поэтому мы решили это дело "заесть" чем-нибудь путевым. Наш выбор пал на рыбу-меч, и мы ни чуточку не пожалели об этом.

·          Italian Restaurant. Любимое место моего сынули: пицца и спагетти не оставили его равнодушным. Поэтому этот ресторанчик мы посещали несколько раз.

В этом же здании каждый день проводились концерты.

Второе: летняя площадка с живой музыкой (возле итальянского ресторана). Одни приходили сюда насладиться чашечкой ароматного турецкого кофе, другие предпочитали более крепкие напитки. Танцполе было переполнено всегда, что являлось заслугой аниматоров: подолгу возле столика никто не засиживался. Живая музыка была доступной до 22.00, но наши приключения на этом не заканчивались...

Третье: ночной клуб. Находится в просторном закрытом помещении, что не совсем хорошо. Высокая влажность внутри не давала нам возможности дышать: мы выходили на свежий воздух очень часто. Музыка была не плохой, но DJ немного ленивый. Мы несколько раз заказывали у него песни, - денег за это никто не требовал. Хотя Topkapi Palace - 5* отель с системой All Inclusive: ешь, пей, танцуй, плавай... только заплати сначала 150 евро/сутки за свой номер!

Но вернемся к ночному клубу... На танцполе было много людей, и мы были в их числе. Не могу сказать точное время, когда заканчивалась дискотека, но я знаю, что Лобби работало круглосуточно (и бармен там готовил отличные коктейли из Мартини и Джина).

Такой была наша ночная жизнь в Topkapi Palace. Ввиду столь интенсивных гуляний мы два раза проспали на самолет, но мы не жалуемся.

4. Другие развлечения. За отдельную плату можно было заняться дайвингом, парасейлингом, рыбалкой, заказать экскурсию на скоростном катере. Туристы, желающие исследовать центр Анталии, имеют возможность арендовать авто при отеле. Правда, в аренду здесь сдаются лишь машины premium класса со стоимостью от 150 евро/сутки.

Мы не посещали SPA-салон, но не сомневаюсь, он хорош: резервироваться нужно было за несколько дней. Полезно провести время можно было в Фитнес Центре: оборудование здесь новое, свободных мест всегда хватало.

Таким образом, после длительного пребывания в Topkapi Palace могу заверить, что это отличное место для семейного отдыха. Как любое другое место, данный отель имеет свои недостатки (плохое обслуживание номеров, медленный интернет, отсутствие замков на большинстве общественных туалетах), но все это можно легко устранить. Главное достоинство отеля - аниматоры и невероятно вкусная еда! Тем же, кто при выборе отеля делает ставку на роскошность номеров, либо те, кто ищет тихое место для романтических вечеров Topkapi Palace однозначно не подойдет!

Pleasant journey into the past: hotel Topkapi Palace (Antalya)

The most luxurious attraction in Istanbul is Topkapi Palace. I think every tourist starts his research of this city from this place. When my friens told me that there is a hotel in Antalya, which has the similar design with famous Palace, I became very excited. During the planning every trip I am very scrupulously to choose a hotel for staying. This time I was more carefully than usually: we went to the holiday with my son. It was his first visit abroad, and everything must have been perfect.

We checked few tens of fashionable hotels in Antalya, but the most attractive for me was Topkapi Palace, which is close to Lara region in Antalya.

Topkapi Palace has few buildings for accomodation. To get lost there is very easy

So, in the end of September we packaged our suitcases, sat on the plane to Antalya and arrived to the delightful hotel. However, when I came inside our room I was disappointed...

·              It was not family room. Just a room with 2 beds (double and single). Single bed had very uncomfortable mattress. I was annoyed: even if all family rooms were reserved, it doesn't mean my son should have seen nightmarish dreams on that "magic" bed.

·                Cupboard. Better was not to open: smell could make me fainting.

·               Bathroom. Huge mirror near the washbasin was pretty dirty. Instead of hairs conditioner we got one and half bottles of shampoo. I didn't care about last point: shampoo was bad quality, I don't think conditioner would be good for my hair.

We immediately called in the reception, and asked them to remove all those limitations. In 30 minutes our single bed got new comfortable mattress, from cupboard went wonderful aroma, and on the table we found tasty candies with card-excuses from hotels manager. Of course after I tasted that candies I forgave them everything... :)

Accommodate in Topkapi Palace are not modern - they are in traditional Turkish style. Of course, furniture there are not antique, but not luxury. As I know in every room are bathtub, TV, air conditioner, balcony and small fridge, where every morning I could find cold juice, mineral water, and beer (we didn't pay for these extra money). Free Wi-Fi just in the Lobby. For rooms its surcharge: 7euro/day, but very slow.

For those tourists, who will decide to stay in Topkapi Palace rooms design will be not important. This place - not just a hotel, but it's a huge complex where visitors can find many entertainments:

1. Swimming. There are few options:

ü    Big swimming pool. Favorite children's place. Every day we woke up about 9 a.m., had our breakfast and after tried to find free chaise-lounges on the first line of pool. For small visitors there was special area, shallow, with low slides.

For those, who want to get some portion of adrenalin, hotel can offer mini-aquapark with high slides.

If you want to get fun, you should wait in queue. But its usual thing for Aqua Park

Near the pool was bar, where adults could order alcoholic cocktails. Kids preferred to visit Punch Bar, which was just opposite. From 10 a.m. animators started their job: on the scene near the pool was aqua aerobic with festal music, after - different competitions, water polo. I don't know why, but most of the people located near that pool: maybe because of animators, maybe because of bar:)

ü    Small swimming pool. It was not crowded and just for those, who wanted to relax under the sun.

ü    Pool inside the hotel. Was very popular in that day, when was raining, but in general - almost empty.

ü    Sea. I definitely suggest to visit Antalya in September: water in Mediterranean Sea is hot! Own beach is one of the biggest dignity of Topkapi Palace. There were not too much people on the beach, and most of them were Russian tourists.

2. Food. It was really some entertainment for me. Every day in dining room we found something new. Menu on the breakfast, lunch and dinner were absolutely different. I even started to drink ferments, because my stomach was not able to digest food by itself. There were also diet menu, but I couldn't stop myself. Alcohol there was served from midday (beer or wine).

In the afternoon beside the beach started work snack-cafe, where people could order burgers, potato fried, some beverages. Opposite snack-cafe located Hunkar Restaurant, where possible was to try some traditional Turkish dishes (gözleme, mantı, ayran).

Besides that, on the Bayram (big Muslim holiday) on the summer playground 2 days was served special Turkish food with Raki (Turkish vodka).

Looks like not so attractive, but very tasty:)

3. Night life. Every day after sunset we had some program:

First: restaurant. For visit such place no need to leave the hotel. Topkapi Palace has 5 restaurants A'La Carte, which work from 7.30 till 9.00 p.m.:

·                    Marina Restaurant. Located close to the beach. I didn't find in menu exotic food (like oysters or frog legs), but in general I enjoyed that place. My son doesn't like any seaproducts, and he spent his time there in discovering. He learnt that near the Marina Restaurant is a small football field. In the next day we came back there to play in the football.

·                    Mangal Park Restaurant. My friend liked this place the most: he had chance to cook barbecue by himself. Waiter just brought for us some fresh meat, chicken, vegetables and white wine. Of course for visitors, who will be lazy to cook by themselves, cooker will serve ready barbecue.

·                    Kosem Sultan Restaurant. I call this place a restaurant of traditional Turkish kitchen. I ordered there fish, salad from eggplants and was ready to eat my fingers.

·                    La Nazir Restaurant. Place for gourmet. There everything unusual: dishes, decorations, atmosphere, food... First we ordered mix salad from shrimps, and sushi. I didn't like sushi, so we decided to continue with a swordfish (and we didn't regret about this).

·                    Italian Restaurant. My son liked this place very much because of tasty pizza and spaghetti. That's why we visited this place twice. 
In the same building every day were organized concerts.

Second: open area near the Italian Restaurant, where was alive music. Some people went there to drink a Turkish coffee with nuts, other spent their evening with more strong beverages. But dance floor near singers was never empty, and it was a merit of animators: they drew out people from their chairs and danced with them. It was not an audacity: visitors just got fun:) Alive music was available till 10 p.m., but we didn't back in our room after...

Third: night club. Its located in closed area, which is not good. Inside the building was high humidity: we all time went outside for taking breathe. Music was not bad, but DJ didn't try his best. Few times we ordered songs, and it was for free. Actually, there almost everything was for free. Topkapi Palace - 5* hotel with All Inclusive system: eat, drink, dance, swim... but first pay 150 euro/day for your room.

But let's back to the night club... On the dance floor all time it was crowded, and we were among them. I don't know exactly time when disco finished, but I know that Lobby worked 24 hours in a day (and barmen there made perfect cocktail with Martini and Gin).

It was our night life in Topkapi Palace. Because of such intensive lifestyle we passed our plane 2 times, but we don't complain.

4. Other attractions. With a separate fee possible was to order diving, parasailing, boat tour, fishing. Tourists, who wanted to organize luxurious explore of Antalya, could rent a premium car (150 euro/day). Even if they wanted to organize modest trip they didn't have any choice: in hotel possible was to rent just such kind of cars. There were SPA and Massage saloons, but since there were too much reservations we couldn't try. Another story with Fitness Centre: there were many free places.

So, after long vacation in Topkapi Palace I can tell that its perfect place for families with kids. Of course, like any other place, this hotel has some limitations (bad room service, slow Internet, absence locks of many public toilets), but they are not so huge and can be removed. The main dignities - animators team and impossible tasty food! But if you search luxury room or silence place for romantic evenings, Topkapi Palace not for you: just in the middle of September there were more than 600 visitors.
